SpacePantz Space Cadets [sPC] is now recruiting!

What is sPC? No, really. What the hell is sPC?

The primary goal of sPC is to give a higher status to those who sP admins, in general, believe should have a higher status on the server. We've never HAD to do this. No one came up with any rule that said we had to form a secret society with strict rules and regulations. There was no committee or regulatory body that decided sPC was to be created.

It was just something we decided to do... more like - "Hey, I think I'll go to McDonald's today!" or "That Kahuna Burger looks mighty tastey! Do you mind?" This isn't what you'd call a "brains-type" operation.

The second goal of sPC is to include as many "trustworthy" regulars as possible. What is "trustworthy"? Well, it means different things to different admins. For this, there are no rules. Sorry. Basically, if an sP admin likes you, you're sPC worthy. If an sP admin doesn't like you, then, well, you can't expect them to want to give you more privileges.

These characteristics may include:

maturity level, helpfulness, excellent comedic timing, knowledge and practice of proper grammar (in any language), respect and appreciation for sP admins, yeah... generally a lot of subtle ass kissing helps. Too much and it turns people off. Desperation is not attractive.

That said, we initially decided that we needed some sort of rules to stave off anarchy. On the other hand, it's a challenge to publish a single set of acceptance rules that cover everything.

What's In It For You?

Membership access to the private Space Cadets forum area.

We're not promising anything, but having been long-time regulars, greater weight will be given to your server improvement suggestions (forums, maps, rules, etc..) in the Space Cadets area.

You can add the [sPC] tag to the END of your player name.

You can still be in your current clan. This is NOT a clan membership. This is simply a tag you can wear to let others know you are a respected regular on the SpacePantz servers.

In game, at their sole discretion, sP admins will be able to CASH (or HP up) all players with the [sPC] tag at the end of their player name. Anyone not on the approved Space Cadets list wearing the [sPC] tag will be spat on and kicked on sight.

Space Cadet Requirements

An existing Space Cadet or sP member can nominate you for membership.

However, at least one current sP member MUST vouch for you.

You cannot be an asshole. Or if you are an asshole, you have to be the funny kind of asshole that everyone likes.

Active on the server for 100 hours in 6 month period on the game server AND 6 months of forum activity.

1 year with 250 hours on the game server.

OR

sP can bring you in without meeting any requirements if you win our hearts

How Do I Become a Space Cadet?

To become an official Space Cadet, please apply in this thread. You must include:

Your EXACT forum name.

Your main server handle

Your Steam ID - so we can confirm when you use the [sPC] tag.

Your pantz size.

One final thing. This may be hard to believe, but we CAN read. Please do not post your application more than once every 30 days. If you don't get a response, you haven't been accepted in... yet. Be patient, but please do feel free to repost your application every 30 days to remind us that you're still interested. Also, please do not post an application if you haven't gotten to 100 forum posts yet.

Applies to all new Space Cadets: All Cadets must be approved by sP members. If any single sP member vetos, the application is rejected.

If you do not get accepted immediately, please don't give up or take it the wrong way. In some cases, sP admins have decided to try to get to know you better before acceptance. In some cases, people who are not accepted immediately just don't have anyone in sP or sPC to vouch for them yet.

My only suggestion is to keep applying every 30 days as long as you are interested in joining.

If I'm not accepted, does sP hate me?

Yes.

No, just kidding. Geez. Lighten up. The only kind of person sP "hates" is a hacker - of any kind. If you're not a hacker, we don't hate you.

You might annoy us, but we don't hate you.

9 times out of 10 the only reason you're not accepted is that an sP admin won't vouch for you, sP admins can't agree on you, or no one currently in sPC really knows you that well. Yes, if no one in sP has an opinion on you, we go to the current sPC members. It's in your best interest to be nice to everyone. Especially in real life.

1 time out of 10... yes, we hate you. Just kidding. If you look at the thread, you'll see that some people have applied 2-3 times before getting in. If you're truly interested in participating in sPC, just keep applying every 30 days... but don't be annoying about it. If you need that explained, then... well, chances are you'll be re-applying a long, long time.

Give me a reason.

This is your official "why did I not get accepted" reason.

A) I couldn't get an sP admin to say "YES, I want him/her in sPC".

B) There was at least 1 sP admin that said, "HELL NO". Not just no, but "HELL NO". If this happens, you really pissed someone off and all sP admins trust each other - at least more than we trust non-sP admins.

How can I improve my chances?

Accomplish A without incurring B above. Get to know an sP admin and make sure you don't piss off any of the others. If you've already pissed of one of the others, make nice.

A lot of this is common sense. The ones who eventually got it (ie - understand what I'm saying) are in or in the process of getting in. The ones who don't get it yet... only time will tell.

What do I do if an sP admin asks me to apply?

Duh. Apply stupid. If you don't apply, there's nothing for us to approve. I'm not inclined to go chasing your ass down to get you in sPC. Make it easy for me. Apply and we approve.

I like being part of a team, hence only playing on this server, with all the fine people (minus prototype ace ) and really enjoy it.
